Blue Microphones Makes Surprise First E3 Appearance With Blackout Yeti USB Mic and Mo-Fi Headphones
Have you always wondered what microphone the biggest gaming personalities on YouTube and Twitch were using to capture their voice? Some of them record on a Blue Microphone, who not only deliver some of the best industry recording equipment, but also some of the best USB microphones out there.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that these online personalities strive for quality voice recording since they are producing content for large audiences. Blue Microphones debut E3 appearance however comes a bit unexpected given how quiet they’ve been on the gamer front. Still, it’s always good to see more hardware appear on the showfloor amidst all the software buzz. They came to the event with their recently released Mo-Fi headphones, $349.99 enthusiast headphones with built-in battery powered amplifiers and the $129.99 Blackout Yeti, the Yeti USB microphone in a new black finish.
We asked what their thoughts were on the Razer Seiren, a USB microphone with uncannily similar paper specs to the Blue Yeti. “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” and apparently, Blue Microphones had no involvement whatsoever with Razer’s development. Blue Microphones will continue doing what they’ve always done, bringing industry quality listening and recording equipment to artists, producers, and gamers.
