Bioshock 10th Anniversary Collection Coming to PS4 and Xbox One
I remember fondly the first time I installed Bioshock on my PC and set off into the underwater world, it was fantastic. The game was such a massive change from anything else that was out there and I played it so much my family hardly saw me. The problem for a lot of fans of that original game was that the successors simply weren’t as good as the original, not that I didn’t play them all and enjoy it. None of them quite matched that first underwater realm of Rapture.
Fans of Bioshock can go back to Rapture and explore the city all over again with a special Bioshock 10th anniversary edition that comes with some very cool extras fans will want to own. The Collector’s Edition will be offered via GameStop and the 2k store. The big extra is a statue of a Big Daddy with working lights, sounds, and a spinning drill standing there with a Little Sister reports Gamerzone.
Anyone who played that game will remember their first tangle with a Big Daddy. The Collector’s Edition also includes a copy of the game and a numbered certificate of authenticity. The big rub here is that this special edition is only offered for the Xbox One and PS4.
PC gamers are left out of the special 10th anniversary Collector’s Edition action. The game itself is “beautifully remastered in 1080p” and you aren’t just getting one game, you are getting all three in the franchise. The game will cost you $199.99 and while that is a lot, I’d totally buy a PC version at that price. Sadly, with Irrational Games shutting down back in 2014, we may never go back to the BioShock world.
