Bethesda Refunding Fallout 76 PC Purchases

By

PC gamers have been up in arms over Fallout 76 so far with the game hit with loads of bad reviews. Complaints run the gamut for being just like Fallout 4, to folks having issues with the online-only nature of the game, to bugs and other performance issues. The game bypassed Steam and is being sold directly via Bethesda meaning that the easy refunds you can get at Steam aren’t available via Bethesda.

At least that’s what we thought. A gamer going by the name Fernando on Resetera has come forward and claims that Bethesda gave a refund on Fallout 76.

Fernando wrote, “I was able to get a refund for my copy of Fallout 76, this is after 24 hours total playtime. All I said was I wasnt happy with the bugs and poor performance and they approved it pretty quickly. Just letting people know.”

Bethesda has made no official statement on refunds being available for PC gamers reports Comicbook. There is also no indication that any refunds have been given for Fallout 76 on console systems. It’s not clear if this was a one time fluke or if any gamer who asks will be granted a refund. With the ire towards the game, giving out refunds to those who ask would be a good move on Bethesda’s part.
