Best Buy Offers $500 Off Surface Laptop

Graduation is almost here, and that means for a lot of high school graduates the gift they get will be a laptop to get them ready for college this fall. Best Buy has a very good deal going on the Surface Laptop that can save $500 off two different configurations of the machine.

Note that this is the original Surface Laptop, not the Surface Laptop 2 that is the newest model. The cheapest Surface Laptop is the Core i5 configuration with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. That 13.5-inch notebook is $799 with the $500 discount.

Those wanting more performance can get the same rig packing a Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage for $1,099, which is $500 off. The higher-end configuration is offered in Burgundy only.

The Core i5 configuration comes in cobalt blue, burgundy, graphite gold, or platinum colors. It’s not clear how long the sale will last. This may not be the latest version of the surface Laptop, but it will make an excellent and very portable notebook for college students.
