Battlefield 4 Double XP Event For Premium Members Delayed

The planned end of the year double XP event for Battlefield 4 premium members has been postponed according to the Battlefield 4 forums. The post gives no information as to when the event will be rescheduled, or even as to why it has been postponed in the first place. With all the problems that Battlefield 4 has already gone through, something as simple as a double XP event should have probably been expected to have gone wrong.

Along with all the current bugs and connectivity issues, we can now add this to the litany of problems with this horrendous release. The problems reached a high point this month with EA being hit with multiple lawsuits over the game alleging that investors were misled about the quality of the game before release.

Hopefully Battlefield 4 teaches EA that just pumping out games before they are ready is a poor business practice, but with many of their releases suffering from the same problems it seems clear that EA and their subsidiary companies are more attached to their deadlines and then patching rather than pushing back release dates and delivering a product that is solid on day 1, or at least decent at day one. Unfortunately if they did that then they would probably not be in the running for a third year of “worst company in America” awards.
