Azureus Goes HD

By

Azureus, the file sharing company, today announced a new version of their P-2-P sofware introducing legal downloads of high definition (HD) video called Zudeo. We have the official press release here in our forums detailing Zudeo’s effort to “freely promote and distribute digtal creations.”

The company claims that users with a fat enough download pipe — over 300 KB per second — can view streaming DVD-quality videos on demand. This is a feature that Azureus CEO Gilles BianRosa hopes will catch the attention of video producers who are eager to display their creations on a more flattering stage.
