ASUS ZenFone 6 Lands at Retail

By

ASUS has announced that its new ZenFone 6 smartphone is now available at retail outlets. The smartphone packs a 6.4-inch notchless NanoEdge display with a 92% screen-to-body ratio. The screen is covered by Gorilla Glass 6.

The SoC inside the smartphone is the Snapdragon 855 with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. To ditch the front not and have a hole punched in the display, the smartphone uses a pop-up front selfie camera that is also the rear camera. The motorized 180-degree flip-up module packs a Sony IMX586 48MP primary camera that is accompanied by a 13MP sensor.

The 13MP sensor is a 125-degree ultrawide camera that is used at the front or rear of the smartphone. The OS is Android with ZenUI 6 over the top. The UI promises to focus on the essentials.

The 48MP flip-up sensor makes the ZenFone 6 the front camera champ landing a DxOMark score of 98, the highest ever recorded for a selfie-camera. Power comes from a 5000mAh internal battery. The ZenFone 6 will available online via Amazon and other retailers for $499.
