Software: Dolby Home Theater V4

The other software control panel for the Xonar U7 is Dolby Home Theater V4. It is fully included with the Xonar U7 driver installer.

Once we hit the power button in the top right hand corner, Dolby Home Theater V4 is enabled for the Xonar U7. Note that this will disable Cmedia Xear if it was active.

A tray icon is also placed when Dolby Home Theater V4 is installed. It allows for desktop access to enabling/disabling Dolby Home Theater V4 and selecting a profile.

To the left is a menu panel with three preset profiles by Dolby, four gaming profiles by ASUS, and two empty custom profiles. The profiles can be reset back to their default settings by pressing the circular arrow button.

Most of the control panel is taken up by the spectrum visualization and the audio settings. A graphic equalizer is available for manually tuning frequency ranges. Volume Leveler limits the maximum and minimum loudness of playback. Dialogue Enhancer improves the clarity of speech. Surround Virtualizer simulates surround sound on either speakers, headphones, or both.

Intelligent Equalizer analyzes audio playback in real-time and dynamically adjusts frequencies. The Intelligent Equalizer profiles are Balanced, Open, Focused, Bright, Rich, and Warm.
