ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 10Gbps Router Debuts at Computex 2018

Asus has rolled out all sorts of cool stuff at Computex this year including that ROG Phone for mobile gamers. ASUS has also rolled out a new WiFi router that is claimed to be the first 10Gbps wireless router in the world. That router is called the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 and if you want the fastest WiFi this is the ticket.

The router has eight antennas and uses the 802.11ax WiFi standard for data rates more than twice as fast as the current 802.11ac standard supported on most other devices reports Lowyat. ASUS uses tri-band tech inside to allow a pair of 5GHz frequencies to be supported along with a single 2.4GHz frequency.

That means the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 uses three levels of gaming acceleration and to boost bandwidth for everything you do on WiFi. ASUS also fits the Rapture GT-AX11000 with four wired ports, a 2.5G Tbase port, and a GameBoost button. When that GameBoost button is pressed all the gaming packets within the network are prioritized over other traffic.

The router runs BCM4908 and BCM43684 chipsets, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and has 256GB of integrated flash memory. ASUS didnt offer pricing or a specific launch date for the router, all we know for now is that it will land in Q3 or Q4 of this year.
