Since Half Life 2 was released we have looked at graphic card performance on the nForce 4 Ultra chipset with ATI and Nvidia based video cards. Then we turned to the hidden multiplayer support testing both the server and client side and a few early maps. Now we turn our gaze on the CPU scaling for Half Life 2……….Our ultimate goal is to see how the game scales in performance with the CPU MHz, and to see if the CPU or video card is the limiting factor to higher frame rates in the end. We used our TXGF2 demo of some play early in the game as you exit the main city and head into the canals while being pursued by guards.
