Today, AMD announced that the 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X, with 16-cores and 32-threads, is now available for purchase at $899.00 shipped. The Ryzen Threadripper 2950X is clocked at 3.5GHz on the base clock and 4.4GHz on the boost clock. AMD claims that this X Series CPU delivers up to 41 percent more multi-threaded performance than the Intel Core i9-7900X.
