Western Digital Scorpio Black 750GB:

Hitachi 5K500 320GB:

Benchmark Results: With Crystal Mark v3.0.1 run with a file size of 1000MB we were able to see huge performance differences between the WD Scorpio Black 7200 RPM drive and the Hitachi 5K500 5400 RPM drive. The sequential read/write speeds of the WD Scorpio Black 750GB drive averaged 126MB/s versus just 74MB/s on the Hitachi 5K500 320GB drive.
