HD Tach v3.0.4.0

HD Tach is a low level hardware benchmark for random access read/write storage devices such as hard drives, removable drives (ZIP/JAZZ), flash devices, and RAID arrays. HD Tach uses custom device drivers and other low level Windows interfaces to bypass as many layers of software as possible and get as close to the physical performance of the device as possible.

HD Tach Benchmark Results

Benchmark Results: The Toshiba HG2 256GB SSD was able to reach 221.8MB/s read and 34.5MB/s write. Something strange is going on with the write score, and due to the
fact that HD Tach has not been updated in some time we will be ignoring
that performance score. The random access time and CPU utilization were
really low, which is what we like to see on SSDs.

HD Tach Benchmark Results

Comparison Chart: Compared to other popular SSDs the Toshiba HG2 256GB SSD performed well for a mainstream drive, but below many of the other high-end enthusiast grade SSDs that we have benchmarked on the same test system.
