Smooth Creations has tapped numerous resources for their LANShark; the only custom work done by Smooth Creations is the beautiful paint. Considering the quality, thats just fine with us.

Notice the 300 GB Western Digital VelociRaptor underneath the DVD/RW!

First off, the case that were looking at here is an off-the-shelf part from the folks over at Danger Den called the DD Tower 16. The DD Tower 16 is a mATX form factor case. It’s designed to be easy to haul around. As the happy owner of both of their Torture Rack and Water Box, I can say that the gang at Danger Den builds some high quality acrylic cases. Notice the Thermaltake PSU at the top of the case has been painted a light blue and has clouds airbrushed onto it.

Our system is based on a DFI Lan Party Jr. mATX motherboard. In case you didnt know the Lan Party Jr. is a P45 chipset board that supports CrossFire, all in a small form factor. I hear it overclocks well, too, and coming from DFI I do not doubt it. Memory is from Patriot and is a 4GB dual channel 800 MHz kit. Note that it has been over clocked to 900MHz!

Next up under the giant copper Zalman heatsink is the Intel Q9550 over clocked up to 3GHz. The DVD/RW is from Asus and has a cover around it that is also painted to match the PSU.

At the bottom of the case you can see the pair of Diamond HD 4870 1GB video cards and the CrossFire bridges.
