In our review of the tiny NUC we informed you that we thought the price would be around $360 for the model with the Intel Core i5-4250U processor and $283 for the Intel NUC Kit D34010WYK with the Intel Core i3-4010U processor. Yesterday we spotted the Intel NUC Kit D54250WYK listed on Amazon for $469.00 from PCsupply for pre-order!

This price is way over the estimated $360 price given to Legit Reviews last month by Intel, so we asked Intel what is going on. They informed us that over the past month that pricing as been revised and the new updated pricing for the Intel NUC Kit D54250WYK is $363. Intel has not officially released the Haswell NUC’s yet, so the pricing isn’t final just yet and product is not shipping to distributors yet. Intel hopes to begin shipping the new NUC kits next week, so these should be available to purchase this month. The $469 price on Amazon is an example of a company that is jumping the gun and overcharging on the pre-order.

Our advice is wait another 1-2 weeks and get it for around $363, which is the projected suggested retail price.
