Intel Core i9-9900K Details Emerge on 8-Core Mainstream CPU

By

Have you been waiting for Intel to release an 8-core, 16-thread mainstream processor for the Z370 or Z390 platforms? Our friends over at Coolaler has posted information about three unlocked Intel Core 9th gen series processors. The processors are the Intel Core i9-9900K, Core i7-9700K, and Core i5-9600K. Intel already confirmed the existence of the Intel Core i5-9600K back in early July, but we haven’t seen too many leaks about the Core i7-9700K or the Core i9-9900K. Intel Core i9-9900K Processor Specs - Rumored

According to the chart published by Coolaler, all three of these new processors will be 95W TDP parts with base clocks of at least 3.6 GHz and boost clocks reaching as high as 5 GHz. The Intel Core i7-9700K looks like it will be the entry level 8-core processor, but it doesn’t have Intle Hyper-Threading capabilities. The Intel Core i9-9900K is an 8-core, 16-thread part that obviously has Hyper-Threading enabled. It has a boost clock at 1 and 2-cores of 5.0 GHz, which is mighty impressive considering the just launched Core i7-8086K processor can reach 5.0 GHz on just a single-core.

Where is the Intel Core i7-9800K information at? Why did Coolaler publish a chart showing the maximum turbo clock of the Intel Core i6-9600K being 4.6 GHz when Intel themselves posted information showing it was 4.5 GHz? This chart might contain a number of mistakes, but it’s always fun checking out the rumor mill.
