Cygnett Samsung Galaxy S III Cases

if you have ever traveled to London then you’ll know how nice it is to have a map of the London Underground handy. Usually we rely on an App to navigate the Tube, but if you don’t have cellular service and are just connecting to the free WiFi hotspots in London you will find yourself looking at a paper map. The TubeMap hard case is an official licensed product for the Transport of London (London Underground) and is a great idea. The entire subway system is not shown, but the heart of London is present and that is where most tourists go. Samsung was an official sponsor of the summer Olympics, so a case like this just makes sense. Cygnett told us that this is a limited edition case, but with so many people visiting London we can see it sticking around for a bit. This case has a gloss finish, but the white color and TubeMap keep dust and finger prints from showing up. This case has an MSRP of $29.99, which is about $10 more than the Cygnett Form in white.

The Cygnett Form cases are made from a durable polycarbonate material and have a high-gloss finish on them. These cases look good, but are nightmares for showing dirt, smudges and finger prints. The Cygnett Form cases are available in Black, Acorn White, Malaga Pink, and Enamel Blue. As you can tell from the image above we have the Enamel Blue version.

Final thoughts and Conclusions:

The Cygnett Frost, Form, and TubeMap cases were all found to be great cases that help protect your Samsung Galaxy S3 from accidental bumps and from getting the screen scratched. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same issue that all snap-on cases have, which is lack of protection for the top and bottom of the phone. If you are looking something to keep from phone from being scuffed when sat down on a hard surface then any of the Cygnett cases that we looked at today are ideal. If you are a phone thrower or have a habit of dropping your phone, then this might not be the right case for you. Silicone sleeves offer better protection for drops than these hard cases that have limited protection for all the sides. If you are rough on your phone we highly suggest a case like the Cygnett WorkMate or the Seidio Active for the Samsung Galaxy S III.

Of the three Cygnett cases that we have had the opportunity to use, we liked the Frost the best. The TubeMap is great if you are going to London and the Form is for the high-gloss finish fans, but the Frost was found to be the best for overall use. We love the semi-transparent look and the case did not show smudges and was scratch-resistant. For just $19.99 the Frost is also affordable and it comes backed with a two year warranty. We’ve used other snap-on cases before by companies like Incipio and found that they tend to crack over time. Incipio only warranties their cases for one year, so it is nice to see Cygnett offering a warranty that is twice as long as their competitors. For $20 with a two-year warranty we have no problems recommending the Cygnett Frost case to our readers.
