AIDA64 Extreme Edition is a streamlined Windows diagnostic and benchmarking software for home users. AIDA64 Extreme Edition provides a wide range of features to assist in overclocking, hardware error diagnosis, stress testing, and sensor monitoring. It has unique capabilities to assess the performance of the processor, system memory, and disk drives. AIDA64 is compatible with all current 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. We used AIDA64 v2.30.1947 which was updated with the proper device ID for this notebook just for this review. We ran the cache & memory benchmark to take a peak at the memory performance.
8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL11 Memory:
8GB DDR3 1866MHz CL10 Memory:
AIDA64 showed that the read memory bandwidth went from 17421 MB/s to 19608 MB/s, a nice 12.6% improvement. The write memory bandwidth didn’t show such nice performance gains though as it went from 18094 MB/s to just 18615 MB/s an increase of just 2.9%. The memory latency went from 49.5 ns to 42.7 ns, which is a 13.7% reduction in latency.
