Benchmark Results: In the PCMark8 storage benchmark suite we scored 4760 with a bandwidth of 124.62 MB/s.

CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3 x64 – Intel Z97 Platform

CrystalDiskMark is a small benchmark utility for drives and enables rapid measurement of sequential and random read/write speeds. Note that CDM only supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ) with a queue depth of 32 (as noted) for the last listed benchmark score. This can skew some results in favor of controllers that also do not support NCQ.

Benchmark Results: The ASUS Hyper Express SATAe enclosure topped out at 682MB/s read and 550MB/s on the sequential test. The 4K scores were only 19.5MB/s read and 22.4MB/s write, which is very low for a pair of SATA III SSD’s running in RAID 0. We also ran the 0Fill test and got the same sequential read score, but the write speeds jumped up to 586.7 MB/s.
