ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3 Platinum with SimHD Now Accelerated on NVIDIA ION-Based PCs
ArcSoft announced today that its best-selling multimedia player application, TotalMedia Theatre 3 Platinum, together with its video up-scaling software, SimHD, are now optimized for NVIDIA CUDA acceleration on NVIDIA ION-based PCs. Users can now enjoy a stunning Blu-ray experience and watch DVD videos in higher-definition with enhanced processing speed on netbooks and nettops PCs with NVIDIA ION.

A year ago, we announced SimHD, ArcSofts upscaling technology, supporting NVIDIA CUDA architecture. At that time, SimHD required a powerful GPU to run, said George Tang, ArcSofts Vice President and General Manager of Video and Home Entertainment Group. Today, I am pleased to announce that SimHD is running on NVIDIA ION-based PCs, allowing users to enjoy Blu-ray and upscaled DVD movies on netbooks and nettops.
