A-Data and Transcend see June revenues up double-digits

A-Data Technology and Transcend Information enjoyed on-month revenue growth of 24.5% and 25.6%, respectively, in June 2009. Both memory module makers have seen growing sales contributions from NAND flash products.

A-Data’s June revenues reached NT$2.054 billion (US$63 million), with the on-year drop narrowing to 13.5%. The company saw May revenues drop 29.5% on month and 37.1% on year. The company said it intends to focus its efforts on NAND flash devices, which grew 44.1% sequentially in sales last month. As for DRAM modules, sales generated from the segment increased 3.6% on month in June. A-Data posted unaudited revenues of NT$6.05 billion for second-quarter 2009, up 4.0% sequentially but down 22.8% from NT$7.83 billion a year ago. NAND flash products accounted for about 56.9% of second-quarter sales, whereas the remaining 43.1% was contributed by DRAM modules.
