DSG offices raided by EU as part of Intel probe

British electrical goods retailer DSG International Plc said on Tuesday its offices had been raided by the European Commission, as part of an investigation into possible market abuse. An EC spokesman said the raids were conducted because of possible violations of EU rules against restrictive business practices and/or abuse of a dominant position.
“I can confirm that officials from the EU Commission are currently conducting an inspection at our Retail Support Centre in Hemel Hempstead,” a DSG spokesman said in a statement. “This inspection relates to the ongoing investigation between Intel and AMD. We are fully cooperating with the inspection,” he said.
