Mushkin today announced the release of the XP2-6400 4-4-4 modules available in 2GB single DIMMs and 4GB dual-channel kits. Offering high density and speed, these modules are an ideal solution for gamers using the Windows Vista operating system.
Current PC games are already pushing systems with 2GB of memory to the limits, said Brian Flood, Mushkin director of product development. 4GB will soon be the standard among gamers and enthusiasts who wish to avoid drastic slowdowns due to memory paging. The new 4GB XP2-6400 4-4-4 kits offer these users the speed and capacity they need while utilizing the desired 2 x 2GB configuration, which is less stressful on memory controllers and allows future upgrades to 6GB and 8GB.
