abit introduces first PCI-E Wi-Fi card – AirPace

By

abit has introduced a unique Wi-Fi solution by bringing the first PCIe Wi-Fi card to market. The abit AirPace Wi-Fi card is the very first IEEE 802.11b/g WLAN device for universal use with PCI-E interfaces. Unlike proprietary solutions the abit AirPace Wi-Fi is highly flexible as it is compatible with ANY PCI-E socket.

By using the PCI-E X1 interface abit is once more extending their Future Proof concept. Since the PCI interface is bound to disappear in the very foreseeable future, the PCI-E bus will become the prevailing connection standard for add-on cards. So with abits solution you will also stay well-connected in the future. The added software Access Point function increases the AirPace Wi-Fis usage models dramatically. It allows other networked PCs and laptops to not only use storage and data on your computer but also take advantage of its connected peripherals such as printers or Internet access, to mention but a few options.
