Razer Confirms Development of A Toaster

By

Way back in 2013 a joke started that led to a Facebook page caleld “Give Us the Razer Toaster Please” and Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan said that the company would make the toaster if the page acquired a million likes. In 2016 Razer’s April fools prank was Project Breadwinner, the first gaming grade kitchen appliance.

Tan liked that Facebook page we mentioned and confirmed this week that Razer would start developing the toaster reports CNET. “Alright — I didn’t think these guys were going to make it — but they did,” Tan wrote. “Well… what can I say. I’ve just officially liked their page — and I’m going to put together my team of designers and engineers. It will take a few years — but I’ll be sure to share the progress — and make it a community affair. A Razer Toaster — For Razer Toaster Lovers. By Razer Toaster Lovers.”

Razer PR manager Kevin Allan says that there is no information about the toaster right now. He did note that at one time the company had a prop toaster that would burn the company logo onto toast.

With Razer creating the toaster, expect lots of lights, black and green design, and a high price. We’d also bet the toaster will burn the Razer logo into your breakfast bread.
