Xbox One X Pre-orders Start Soon tips Phil Spencer

If you are one of the gaming masses that is waiting in anticipation for when you can order your Xbox One X game console, the time is coming. Rumors had been circulating that the console was delayed, but Phil Spencer recently stated that was not the case. Spencer has now stepped up and said that pre-orders will start soon.

“Soon” is certainly not the answer that fans of the game console were hoping for. Most want to know the specific date when pre-orders will start. The statement about pre-orders came via Twitter when Spencer responded to an Xbox One X fan who asked about the console. Spencer stated that Microsoft is close to getting its FCC approval for the Xbox One X and once that happens pre-orders will start shortly after reports Segmentnext.

The delay between the unveil and the FCC approvals is thanks to Microsoft wanting to eliminate FCC leaks. The FCC is rather notorious for leaking information about unannounced products and many scour the FCC looking for details on unannounced products. Another Microsoft rumor floating around claims that the company is already looking down the road to a next generation console.

This device is said to be more than two years out. Interestingly, Microsoft has also stated that there will be no more generations in the future. That is a rather vague statement that would seem to indicate changing Xbox generations like we have seen in the past is over. Perhaps the first indication of that was that the new Xbox One X is completely compatible with games made for the current Xbox One and will get no exclusives. Microsoft has stated that it as a company is now focused on PC for VR and AR moving into the future.
