Alien Life Discovered in GTA Online

We all know how it goes, hackers and data miners comb through their favorite software and video games all the time looking for hints at what’s to come and new features. Recently folks were combing through GTA V and searching for clues about aliens that have been rumored to be part of the game for a while.

As it turns out this rumor appears to be accurate because the data miners have found the aliens. A group called Team Guru was data mining the latest Gunrunning DLC for the game and made a discovery. That discovery was a string of variables that weren’t used in the GTA Online client.

Team Guru then forced the code to run by switching around some variables and that allowed them to play some hidden mission. The mission in question involves the player stealing some supplies near a swamp, but when players arrive there is a UFO crashed out in the swamp and some alien eggs that can be recovered.

The scene is said to have dead scientists and soldiers nearby in the swamp. Once the player tries to recover the eggs, more aliens come out and try to stop them. The players have to kill all the aliens for the mission to end. In the past data mining has given up scripts for the missions leaving the question on whether or not this mission was complete since it is so short and lackluster. CinemaBlend reports that some think that the alien mission will be official in GTA V at some point and perhaps there will be more to it than this simple mission.
