Facebook Messenger Will Allow Group Payments

By

Facebook Messenger has allowed us to send money to friends for about two years now, but the feature only permitted one person per transaction. Facebook will now improve on their payment feature to allow us to pay more than one person at a time. The group payment feature makes splitting a check or bar tab easier.

Group transactions will be similar to how the feature operated with one-on-one payments. All you need is to connect your Facebook account with an eligible debit card. The attached card will then be fitted with a personal PIN number to authorize payments. When in a group chat, simply tap on the payment icon and choose which friends in the group you wish to ask or give money to. You then select an amount and a nice message reminding them what sort of bet they may have lost. Yes, it happens to the best of us.

The group money feature allows us to enter the amount desired for people individually or a grand total. The group transaction feature will split up the total to each individual selected. This means we wont have to do the math ourselves. Messenger will keep track of who has and has not paid.

The Facebook Messenger group transaction is available for free to all Messenger accounts in the United States on iOS and Android.
