Youtuber Under Fire for Ownership of CSGO Gambling Site
Gambling has proven itself to be a costly and addicting vice which is (in most cases) age restricted. In CSGO a player (with access to a credit card) may buy keys for $2.49 USD which may be used to open crates that players can obtain when leveling up to get a weapon skin. Valve claims that the skins hold no monetary value but it is clearly seen being sold for real world money (prices ranging from one cent to thousands of US Dollars) on the steam market.

In addition to the in-game gambling there have been gambling sites popping up which allow users to pool in their skins for a chance to win a better one. A Youtuber (Tmartn) has been promoting one of these sites on his Youtube channel. The heat towards the Youtuber comes primarily for promoting gambling as well as failing to disclose his relationship with the site (csgolotto.com). In one of his videos Tmartn claimed that he “found this new site called CSGOLOTTO” and soon after stated that went onto the site and won $69 in skins as well as an offer from the website to advertise betting on the site in exchange for a CSGO skin sponsorship. These claims would imply that he had not known about the site prior to discovering it. Regardless, with a little bit of research a few Youtubers (HonorTheCall and h3h3Productions) discovered that two of the owners (ProSyndicate and Tmartn) happened to be famous the Youtubers who promoted the CSGOLOTTO without disclosing their relationship to the website.
