BenQ’s GW2270 Monitor Is Made for Simple Living

Newest VA, LED Eye-Care Display Combines Stylish Design and Visual Comfort at a Great Value

BenQ GW2270

COSTA MESA, Calif. Jan. 21, 2016 BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today unveiled its all-new GW2270 monitor. Made specifically for everyday home or office environments, the stylish full HD VA display marries the convenience of BenQ’s Eye-Care technology for more comfortable viewing sessions, imaging advances such as a high 3000:1 contrast ratio and flexible connectivity options for a wider range of peripherals. The slim display offers design-conscious users a value option for simple, minimalist living.

Our striking GW2270 monitor is the torchbearer for our newly revamped GW Series,” said J.Y. Hu, vice president of business line management at BenQ America Corp. “Providing our customers with a cost-effective display option that is both stylish and performance-driven, the GW2270 offers Eye-Care benefits that let users switch between different viewing modes to match specific applications, as well as enjoy more comfortable viewing sessions during long periods of computer use. The monitor is the perfect computer companion for both office and home.”

The GW2270 panel features a 22-inch screen, stunning 1920 x 1080p resolution and high contrast ratio of 3,000:1 the highest of any BenQ TN, VA or IPS panel. Consequently, users gain access to sharper color depth, crispness, clarity and HD quality that instantly brings even the darkest and most complex visual images to life. To boost visual performance even further, the sleek display provides a 5-ms GTG response time, minimizing lag, drag or ghosting across the screen with movies and videos.

Designed in a minimalist style, the GW2270 features a T-shaped base and a polished black finish, providing a timeless feel that matches any elegant dcor. When turned around, the unit is dotted with subtle deco patterns while a smooth back cover provides a gentle transition to gracefully reflect both light and shadows. To complete its simple styling, the monitor comes equipped with a slanted column that extends straight from the back end of its base to the hinge of the unit’s back cover providing a 360-degree aesthetic tailored to today’s contemporary spaces.

The GW2270 effectively increases visual comfort for users performing common computer tasks thanks to BenQ’s market-leading Eye-Care technology. Leveraging the company’s RevolutionEyes and ZeroFlicker technologies, the monitor eliminates flickering at all brightness levels to reduce eye fatigue, while an embedded Low Blue Light mode filters visual exposure to the release of blue spectrum light. By switching between integrated hotkeys, customers can quickly select presets such as multimedia, Web-surfing, office or reading modes reducing blue light emission by up to 70% during any daily usage scenario.

The GW2270 is also eco-friendly with an Energy Star 6.0 rating. The monitor dynamically adjusts display brightness to save energy and power that keeps consumption costs down without compromising overall performance. To bring more flexibility to today’s setups, the unit features both D-sub and dual HDMI ports, enables straightforward VESA wall mounting and is fully Windows 10 compatible.

Available now, the GW2270 monitor retails at $119. More information on the full line of BenQ products is available at www.BenQ.us.
