Android Releases New Lollipop 5.1 Update
The folks at Android have released a new Android Operating System update Android 5.1 that improves stability and performance for your mobile device. The update also includes a host of new features:
- Support for Multiple SIM Cards
- Device Protection for lost or stolen phones or tablets
- High Definition (HD) Voice on certain phones
- Various Bug Fixes
Late on Monday, the Official Android Blog had details and descriptions of the main feature updates. The multiple SIM support could be quite useful for an office or family who want to use a device with multiple SIM ports.=
For lost, stolen, or accidently locked devices, the new Android Device Protection will allow a user to reset a device to factory default remotely. Finally, the Android High Definition voice calling improves enhanced voice calling between Android devices.
Android users should look for this free update starting today as Android and its mobile partners T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint start rolling out the mass update.
