Google Chromecast Orders Delayed – Proving Hard To Find

By

If you ordered a Google Chromecast from Amazon back in July you might be in for a rude awakening. Those that ordered on July 26th, a day after ordering began, have been told by Amazon that the estimated arrival date for their order is now set between October 18, 2013 to November 06, 2013! This is well beyond the 3-4 week delay that was shown on Amazon when the orders were placed. To make matters worse, only those that ordered before 5:30pm PT on July 25th, 2013 will be getting the 3 month free promo code for Netflix. You can still buy a Chromecast from Amazon for $35.00 shipped, but the site shows a 2-3 month wait.

You can order one through Google Play for $35.00 and have just a 2-3 week wait, but the site says the Netflix promotional offer already ended. You had to order before 1pm PT on 7/25/13 to be one of the lucky few to get the Netflix offer.

What should you do if you still want one? The Netflix promotional offer is long gone, so forget about that. Best Buy is your best bet, but the device is sold out online there, too. This means you need to find a local store that just happens to have one in stock. You have to move fast though as they are selling out quickly. You can also turn to eBay, but they are selling for around $65-70 shipped on there. This is better than what it was a week ago as they were selling for $100 a pop!
