DDR3 Memory Reaches 4095MHz on ASRock Z87M OC Formula Motherboard w/ Intel Haswell

ASRock revealed this morning that Nick Shih recently broke a world record by overclocking a single Team Group – Xtreem-LV-2666 DDR3 4G memory module to an astonishing 4095MHz on ASRock Z87M OC Formula motherboard!

That is simply amazing and it goes to show that the memory controller on the upcoming Intel Haswell processors is better than anything that enthusiasts have ever seen. We’ve heard hitting 3GHz on the memory on enthusiast class Z87 platforms isn’t that big of a deal, but reaching nearly 4100Mhz is nice even if it is in single channel mode! The single 4GB module was run at 14-15-15-45 timings with LN2 cooling in order to reach this awe-inspiring number. The ASRock Z87M OC Formula motherboard can be seen below.
