Diablo 3 Unplayable Yet Again Due To Repeat of Infamous Error 37
Diablo 3 was released on May 15 with a whole host of frustrating bugs and issues. However, that hasn’t stopped it from becoming the fastest selling PC game ever. One particular error that appears to have been fixed is the infamous error 37, which prevents logins and obviously makes the game unplayable. However, it has now returned, causing gamers to rant about it in their droves in the official Blizzard forums.

However, this appears to have been caused by the sheer volume of gamers logging on after applying the latest patch (update 1.02, which went live today) as explained by a forum admin at around 3pm UK time:
“Login is currently being impacted by the number of players that are coming online after they downloaded the patch and accepted the Terms of Use. Sadly, the additional steps required to patch and log in to the game is creating a lot of the ‘Error 37’ prompts for players. We’re currently working on a fix for this and are looking to have it implemented as soon as possible; we hope to have future patching processes smoothed out for Diablo 3”.
It looks like logging in a bit later and hence a bit of patience is the best remedy for this problem, which is probably a tall order for gamers who tend to be naturally impatient about playing their exciting new games. However, there appear to be further problems, as gamers are now complaining that server problems have killed their character in the game’s permadeath Hardcore Mode.
