PX02SM eSSD enhances performance for enterprise customers
IRVINE, Calif., October 9, 2013 The Storage Products Business Unit of Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc., a committed technology leader, today announced that its enterprise solid state drive (eSSD) has been certified by Microsoft for Windows Server 2012, including Windows Server 2012 cluster-in-a-box systems. The PX02SM eSSD, Toshibas highest performance 2.5-inch eSSD, is optimized for mission critical tiered enterprise server and storage applications. Together with the boxed cluster solutions, the PX02SM with Windows Server 2012 certification brings tiered storage solutions to SMB and enterprise customers.

By certifying Toshibas PX02SM eSSD for use on the Windows Server 2012 platform, Microsoft has reinforced its commitment to deliver next-generation storage technology to servers throughout the enterprise.
The Windows Server 2012 certification will enable and support the next generation of storage applications in data centers, said Trenton Baker, vice president of business development at DataON. By earning this certification, storage vendors are ensuring customers that their enterprise-grade SSDs are part of the most compatible and highest performing storage systems available today.
