Some very interesting pictures just landed in my inbox of the upcoming ASUS P7H57D-V EVO Motherboard! These are the first good quality pictures that I have seen of the Intel H57 Express chipset, so I had to share them with our readers.

For those that don’t know the upcoming H55/H57 chipset from Intel will feature integrated graphics and support for upcoming Intel Core i3 32nm processors. Rumored additions for this chipset include Braidwood support, Coral Harbor volume cache tuning and the return of Quiet System technology. This chipset will be focused at upcoming Intel Clarkdale processors, so next year when Intel launches Core i3 series it looks like the motherboard companies will be more than ready!

This board supports all LGA 1156 processors, offers four DDR3 memory slots, two PCI-Express x16 slots enabling at SLI/CrossFireX setups, six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, two 6.0 Gbps ports, and a pair of USB 3.0 connectors. The P7H57D-V EVO also has VGA, DVI-I and HDMI video connectors so you’ll be able to hook it up to nearly any panel on the market today..

The back I/O panel offers plenty of connectivity. The board features a single purple PS/2 combo port and a total of four USB 2.0 ports available on the I/O panel with more available on the board itself. Additional connectivity includes an optical S/PDIF port, a single eSATA port, a single IEEE 1394a Firewire port, a single RJ-45 Gigabit LAN port and the eight channel surround sound ports. When it comes to video connections you have the 15-pin VGA port, DVI-D port and the HDMI port. This motherboard is fully HDCP compliant, so it should be ideal for Blu-Ray playback or for any other protected content. The pair blue USB slots are SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface headers.

The Intel H57 IGP chipset is a single chip solution and the heat sink is fairly large and passively cooled. There are four USB 2.0 headers and the two SATA III 6Gbps headers along the bottom left edge of the board and a single IDE header and six internal SATA II 3.0Gbps headers along the bottom right side.

The ASUS P7H57D-V EVO Motherboard has two legacy PCI interfaces, Dual PCI-E x16 slots and three PCI-E x 1 slots. The board will run both NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire. It also features the PLX chip, which is used to connect the Marvell SATA III 6Gbps controller to the PCIe 2.0 bus on the chipset.
