Ubisoft Goes All in on Assassin’s Creed: Origins Special Editions

By

At E3 this week after years of rumors, Assassin’s Creed: Origins went official. Along with the announcement came a gameplay demo that shows an Egyptian setting and word that there would be PLENTY of special editions to choose from and a pre-order bonus mission. If you pre-order the game, presumably in any of its versions, you get Secrets of the First Pyramids mission.

The most basic of the special editions is the Deluxe Edition for $70 that includes an Ambush at Sea naval mission and the Desert Cobra Pack. That latter special pack has an Eye of Apep staff, Legendary Snake Shield, Desert Cobra outfit, Fangs Horse Companion, Fang Sickle Sword, and three ability points.

Up the scale another step is the Gold Edition for $110 including all the stuff from the Deluxe Edition and a Season Pass for DLC. The Gold Steelbook Edition sells for $110 also and is physical purchase only with all the Deluxe edition stuff, season pass, and a steelbook case. That special edition won’t be offered for PC reports GameSpot.

A God’s Collector’s Edition is physical only and comes with an art book, soundtrack, 10-inch figure of Bayek, physical copy of the game map, and all Deluxe edition stuff. This one is also not available for PC. The next special edition is the Dawn of the Creed Collector’s Edition selling for $160 and including all the stuff in the Gold Steelbook edition and a 15-inch Bayek statue for $160.

The final special edition is an insane one selling for $800 with only 999 being offered and is called the Assassin’s Creed: Origins Dawn of the Creed Legendary Edition. It has a gold Steelbook case, season pass, 28.7-inch Bayek statue, world map, four lithographs, soundtrack, artbook, art cards, and an eagle amulet.
