Turtle Beach Exhibits New and Upcoming Gaming Headsets at E3 2015

Recon_E32015Turtle Beach came to E3 this year with its range of gaming headsets for PCs and gaming consoles including several new and upcoming products. Their booth on the showfloor was much more modest this year without the livestream panel stage, but it did give visitors easier opportunities to move throughout that booth looking at the display cases and trying out the live demos.

Turtle Beach’s new Ear Force Recon 50 headsets comprise of three products with the Recon 50P being stylized for the PlayStation 4 and the Recon 50X being stylized for the Xbox One. The Ear Force Recon 50 headsets feature 40mm drivers and have an inline volume controller with mic mute. These headsets connect to devices by a 3-pole 3.5mm analog jack and are compatible with PCs, mobile devices, the PlayStation 4 controller, the refreshed Xbox One controller, and the Xbox One Elite controller. The Headset Audio Controller adapter sold separately will allow the Recon 50 headsets or really any other 3-pole 3.5mm analog headset to be used with the original Xbox One controller and PCs with dual audio jacks will require a Y-cable adapter. The Ear Force Recon 60P is an alternate version of the Ear Force Recon 50P, that instead of plugging into the controller plugs into one of the PlayStation 4’s USB ports for amplified sound. It also features a detachable 3.5mm 3-pole analog jack.e3_2015_turtle_beach_05_60P

The Ear Force Stealth 420X and 450 are Turtle Beach’s upcoming wireless headsets respectively for the Xbox One and PCs, with both headsets additionally being compatible with mobile devices. Both of these headsets connect with a USB wireless adapter and each battery charge gives up to 15 hours of use. They also feature a detachable microphone, DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Surround Sound, and four audio presets. The Ear Force Stealth 420X Xbox One headset will be sold for $179.95 beginning July 18. The Ear Force Stealth 450 PC headset will be sold for $129.95 later in Q3.

The Ear Force Recon 30X is an upcoming Xbox One chat headset targeted at entry-level Xbox One gamers or for those who simply want the chat functionality of a headset. The earpiece only outputs incoming chat from other Xbox players and connects to the refreshed Xbox One controller or Elite controller with a 3.5mm analog jack and to the original Xbox One controller with the adapter sold separately. The Ear Force PX24 updates the PX22 as a new multiplatform gaming headset connecting to devices through a 3.5mm 3-pole analog jack. The headset additionally features an adjustable boom microphone and an inline battery powered amplifier accessory with virtual surround sound and volume control.
