Star Citizen Dogfighting Module Now Available To Backers

By

After several delays, Star Citizen has finally released the dogfighting module of the game to crowdfunding backers. Star Citizen, at $44m in crowdfunding(and still climbing), smashed the $10m record for a crowdfunded project set by the Ubuntu Edge. With each funding milestone passed, the already massive universe of the game expanded, and as such Chris Roberts and Cloud Imperium Games decided that it would release the game in chunks called ‘modules’.

Star Citizen Hangar Module

Dogfighting comes as the second module after the release of the Hangar module in August of last year. Cloud Imperium plans to next release a First-Person gameplay module next, though no official date has been announced, with Planetside gameplay following after that. Unfortunately, despite the game being slated for Windows, Mac, and Linux, the currently available modules have only been released for Windows.

Backers of the project can download the Dogfighting module now from the Roberts Space Industries Star Citizen page.
