Standard Xbox One X Pre-orders Open Globally

If you want to get your hands on the Xbox One X, but you were waiting for the normal version of the console to go up for pre-orders, the time is now. When the console first went up for pre-order you could only get it as the Project Scorpio special edition and those pre-orders sold out quickly. Microsoft now has the standard black version of the Xbox One X up for pre-order at local retailers around the world reports The Verge.

You can also pre-order online and in the Microsoft Store. The standard Xbox One X will sell for $499 in the US and will feature 1TB of storage. Shipping will start on November 7. As the new pre-orders kick off, Microsoft is also taking the time to talk up Xbox One enhanced games.

These games are tweaked to perform on the new console, which is able to run at up to 4K resolution and 60fps. The enhanced games can also include graphics updates like improved texture, lighting, and other improvements for game load times.

Games that are enhanced will have a special logo on them, but it’s hard to know what exactly has been enhanced. A new website called Xbox.com/enhanced will give a full list of 130 confirmed titles to be enhanced. Microsoft does plan to add more enhanced games over time.

Microsoft has no exclusive games coming for the Xbox One X. It noted that it was now focusing on PC for VR and AR moving forward with a big push to bring headsets and other VR/AR tech to the masses for gaming and other uses.
