It’s not very often that we here at Legit Reviews have wandered into the audio spectrum for our product reviews, but we are about to change all of that. To start it all off we get a chance to take a look at a brand new product that is being released today by SRS Labs. Now, who is SRS Labs, you may ask? Well, SRS Labs is a company that produces audio enhancement software. They are based in Santa Ana California and at one time they were a part of the Hughes Aircraft Company’s audio division and were the developers of the Sound Retrieval System Technology; hence the name SRS. They separated from Hughes in 1993 to form the SRS Labs we know today. Okay, enough of the history lesson; let’s get to the real story behind this article: the SRS Labs HD Audio Lab software. HD Audio Lab is the newest in a long line of psychoacoustic 3D audio processing products that are developed and sold by SRS Labs.
You may or may not have heard of some of these, but if it is up to HD Audio Lab you will be hearing plenty about them in the very near future because if what I have had the pleasure of listening to so far with the HD Audio Lab software is what we can expect now and in the future, then we can all expect really good things from SRS Labs and their products. Also, with pricing like $29.99 for the download version and $39.99 for the retail box version this is an investment that’s hard to pass up. SRS Labs has made a name for themselves by making audio enhancement products for everything from the PC to the IPod you carry around every day. A quick look at their website will reveal a whole new world of audio products that are easy to install and are even easier to use and manipulate.
