Snap Inc. Introduces Snap Map

By

We’ve definitely seen changes throughout Snapchat over the years, including some of our favorite filters, embarrassing texts, and face swaps with cats. Lately, other applications have adopted features similar to Snapchat like Facebook’s Messenger Day and Instagram’s Stories. Now, Snap Inc. has announced the introduction of a new cool feature called Snap Map. This will allow users to overlook a map within the app and click on the stories of friends they follow. The video below gives insight into how it works.

Snapchat users will be able to view what their friends are doing and are given the approximate location. For example, you finish up a movie with some friends but it’s only 1am and realize the night is still young. A mutual friend of your group posts a Snap that’s two minutes old with him and a few other people in Hollywood loading up a truck to go camping for the weekend. Your group of friends meet up with him and say TFTI (thanks for the invite) in person before proceeding to the bar down the street from his house. Unlikely, but chances are, if there’s an event you’re looking for on a spontaneous night out, this new addition would be a great feature to give your social life that extra boost.
