Rick and Morty Creator Selling a Signed $1000 Legend of Zelda 3DS

Rick and Morty fans who have $1000 burning a hole in their pocket might want to check out the Legend of Zelda 3DS that the show’s creator is selling. The creator, Justin Roiland, is offering a signed limited-edition Legend of Zelda 3DS game console that has a Rick and Morty doodle on it.

The console is available for purchase on Witchsy, which is sort of like Etsy. The reason he is selling the console has to do with an episode of his show called “Total Rickall” where Rick hatches a scheme to buy discounted 3DS consoles and flip them for $230. Roiland says that in that episode everything Rick says was his plan at one point reports AVClub.

Roiland told Witchsy co-founder Kate Dwyer in a text, “All the stuff Rick says in that scene in the episode was actually true. My plan was to sell them off here and there over the years but I just had so many that I still have them. Its also important to know that I felt bad after I bought them all so I went and purchased 15 2DS systems and a bunch of games and donated them to the childrens hospital of Los Angeles. I became part of the problem that day. I became a scalper. CHA-CHING.”

Roiland is an investor in Witchsy for what it’s worth. It’s also worth noting that someone who claims to know him on Tumblr says that Roiland has an entire guest room full of these 3DS consoles. It’s also worth noting that the console has 1/10 written on it suggesting at least nine more are coming.
