Qualcomm Advert Says A Dragon is Coming — To Your Phone

By

Earlier this week QUALCOMM’s Chairman and CEO Dr. PAUL JACOBS, announced two new series of Snapdragon processors at the keynote presentation for CES 2013. During that keynote a promotional trailer styled like an epic fantasy movie with a CGI dragon was shown for the upcoming 800 series Snapdragon processor. Qualcomm claims that the 800 will deliver up to 75 percent better performance over the Snapdragon S4 processor, while the 600 will supposedly deliver up to 40 percent better performance compared to the S4. The Snapdragon 800 will use the quad-core Krait 400 CPU that will be clocked at speeds up to 2.3-GHz. The Snapdragon 600 will be powered by a quad-core Krait 300 processor that will feature clock speeds up to 1.9-GHz. Both processors will allow you to record UltraHD video, which has four times the pixel density of 1080p. The processors also support display resolutions up to 2560 x 2048. To top things off the 800 and the 600 both support 802.11ac, the newest wireless networking standard, as well as 4G LTE data transfer rates of up to 150MBps. This is great news for all those that have been buying 802.11ac routers, but don’t have any devices that use the latest standard yet! Check out the promotional video below for these new Snapdragon processors!

A dragon is coming. But it’s small. Really small. And it’s bringing raw power, jaw dropping speed, and longer battery life to your smart device. Qualcomm CEO Dr. Paul Jacobs announced the newest Snapdragon processors during his keynote at the 2013 CES conference with this video. The next line up of Snapdragon 800 and 600 processors feature faster CPUs, higher performance graphics, and lower power usage. Coming soon to the heart of devices you love.
