Brendan Greene has been dropping some details on the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds version that will land on the Xbox One. According to Greene, the game is expected to run at 60 fps on the Xbox One X game console. If you run PUBG on a normal Xbox One S the frame rate will be lower. Exactly how much lower is unclear at the moment.
Greene said, "On Xbox One, we're not sure. We may have to limit it at 30FPS, maybe, but the last time I saw it, it was running at about 30 to 40. We're still constantly improving it so, you know, the aim is to get to 60. That's why we're doing Game Preview, because I think the great thing about console is it's a locked hardware system, so we can do really specific tweaks that tune it for those systems."
If you are hoping for 4K textures on PC and Xbox, you will have to wait longer. Artists are planning for 4K and HDR support, but when those fancy graphics will land is not mentioned. PC gamers can see a preview of the new Desert map on December 7 during The Game Awards reports Engadget
PUBG has been insanely popular so far on PC and has sold a huge number of copies despite not being officially finished yet. Some PC gamers are upset that the devs opted to build a console version of the game rather than finish and fix the PC version first.
While 60 FPS might be the goal it looks like 30 FPS is what is currently capable on all Xbox One devices!
