Fans of the very popular Ylvis YouTube hit, “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)” are in for a treat as Simon and Schuster has announced a picture book just in time for the holidays. With over 215 million YouTube views, it seems almost certain that a children’s book with this theme and story will take off. If you are one of the few people who do not know, Ylvis, a comedy duo from Norway, had a one of their songs “The Fox” go viral on YouTube this summer. The song describes the sounds made by a variety of animals and asks the question, what does the fox say? With a catchy hook and creative video, the move from Simon &  perfect sense for the Fox story to go mainstream.  We personally can’t wait to see the results of this effort.  Luckily we won’t have to wait long as Ylvis and Simon and Schuster have announced a December 10th release for “The Fox” in printed form.
