Pope FrancisPope Francis is telling young people that chatting on the Internet or with smartphones are a waste of time and is asking for people to be more productive with their time and activities. “Maybe many young people waste too many hours on futile things,” the Pope said in a short speech to the altar servers young people who help the priest during religious services who had come to Rome on a pilgrimage. We have to say that getting the message out there for people to do be more productive with their time is a noble one. It remains to be seen how much of an affect the Pope will have on the hundreds of millions of young social media users. The 77-year-old Pope has Twitter accounts in several languages as the official Papal accounts were first used by his predecessor Pope Benedict in 2011, and his English language account has 4.3 million followers.
