Plantronics-LogoWe dropped by the Plantronics booth earlier today at E3 2015 to take a look at their new PC gaming audio products, the RIG 500 series of gaming headsets. The three headsets frontlining the series are the RIG 500, RIG 500HD, and RIG 500E. Built entirely from the ground up to satisfy the various needs of eSports gamers of all types, the RIG 500 series focuses on comfort and adaptability through modularity. The earcups can be detached from the elastic floating headband and the Dolby 7.1 Surround adapter can be plugged along the breakaway to enable virtual surround sound.

The most basic package is the RIG 500 headset which features cloth earpads, a detachable microphone that auto mutes when flipped up, and a 3.5mm analog cable.e3_2015_plantronics_rig_500_01 e3_2015_plantronics_rig_500_02 e3_2015_plantronics_rig_500_03e3_2015_plantronics_rig_500_09e3_2015_plantronics_rig_500_04
