NFS: Most Wanted - Free on Origin

Right now, all registered users of EA’s digital distribution platform Origin are being offered free copies of the 2012 release of Need For Speed: Most Wanted as part of the Origin “On The House” promotion, which gives users a window of time to download and own a game for free. Developed by Criterion Studios, whom most recently assisted DICE with development of Star Wars: Battlefront, Need For Speed: Most Wanted received critical praise for its fast placed racing game play and soundtrack, which features tracks from The Who, Green Day, Muse and more. Anybody with an Origin account can download the game for free and it will remain in their library. Other games offered for free by Origin have included Crusader: No Remorse and Wing Commander III, in addition to others. From my recollection, Need For Speed: Most Wanted is one of the more recently released games to be offered for free.

If you are into the Need For Speed series, or racing games in general, Most Wanted is definitely worth the time it takes to register for Origin and download, should you not already have Origin installed. My personal experience with Need For Speed: Most Wanted was positive and it’s kind of surprising to see it available for free, as though it isn’t a recent game, it is hardly vintage or classic, as many of the other titles Origin has offered have been.
