NBC SeesoComcast NBC Universal’s new streaming comedy video service has officially gone live. Named Seeso, the subscription service provides 2,000 hours of content at launch, including full seasons of NBC shows like “Saturday Night Live,” Parks and Recreation, and the The Kids In The Hall.” The service will run you $3.99 a month, and users can download apps from both the Apple iTunes and Google Play store. It’s the cable and broadcast giant’s latest attempt to cater to cord cutters, coming on the heels of Comcast’s recent cap-exempt streaming video service “Stream.”

It does seem likely that the days of seeing your favorite episode of “Friends” on Netflix might be coming to an end. Another twist to note is that since NBC is a partial owner of Hulu, we would guess that Hulu will not be affected as much as Netflix.Seeso Logo
